Examinations : Rules & Regulations

  • Daily attendance of students is marked in a register by individual teachers for every period
  • All students will be given attendance card wherein your monthly percentage of attendance will be mentioned . In case of any discrepancy, they should get it rectified by contacting the teacher concerned within two days.
  • 75% attendance is a pre-requisite for
    (i) Permission to write the Exams (university Circular No. GU/V/ Attendance/138/2004/2213 dated 18/8/2004)(ii) Award of scholarship of any kind.

Other Duty attendance
Students, involved in Co-&Extra-curricular activities and hence missed regular classes, should contact the respective lecturers and obtain written permission from them so as to claim duty attendance from the respective subject teachers.

Students should take particular care to be punctual at all lectures and tutorials. Absence from lectures must be justified in writing, and if prolonged illness is the cause, a medical certificate must be submitted within a week

Disciplinary Rules
  1. All the students are responsible to the Principal of the College for their conduct on the College premises.
  2. Students are required to carry with them daily their Identity Cards.
  3. No student should invite any outsider to attend classes, functions or for any other purpose without the prior permission of the Principal.
  4. Students will form no association and will arrange no meetings in the college, without prior permission of the Principal.
  5. Smoking, use of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited in the college premises.
  6. Students are expected to take proper care of the college property and to help in keeping the premises neat and tidy; damage done to the college property is a breach of discipline and will be severely dealt with.
  7. No student should resort to unfair means during examination. Punishments mentioned in the schedule of punishments approved by the University for University examination are also applicable to college examinations.
  8. Ragging is banned in the College and any one found indulging in "ragging" is likely to be punished which may include expulsion from the college.
  9. Mobiles should be switched off when you enter the college building. Disobedience of this rule will be punished.
  10. Students have also to pay special attention to their formation by attending value education sessions and special prayer services that will be conducted for them from time to time.
  11. Students applying for certificates, testimonials etc. should do so in writing, two days in advance.
  12. The College shall be closed.:
    a.  On Sundays and all public holidays as declared by the Government.
    b.  On holidays prescribed by the University.
    c.  On such days as the Principal may declare from time to time.
  13. The General Office shall be open from 8.30 to 2.30 p.m. on all working days. According to the needs, the Principal may change the timings.
