Fr Allan Noronha, Manager of Agnel Educational Institutions and Fr
Frederick Rodrigues, Principal of Fr Agnel College of Arts & Commerce
spearheaded the organisation of the National Seminar on Fuller Life
for the Teaching Colleges and teaching institutions sent in their
representatives. Several leading citizens of Goa also participated
as delegates. Dr Francisco Colaco, a leading Cardiologist, social
worker, thinker, writer and musician delivered the Keynote Address.
He said, "Stress and heart diseases are the leading cause of
deaths not only around the world but also in India and Goa. Fuller
Life program with its de-stressing techniques and meditation is a
beautiful solution." He enlisted the various techniques that
would be used in the program.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Wilfred D'Souza, was the Chief
Guest on the occasion. He said, "Speaking as a medical professional
I see the effectiveness of this program in making us better citizens.
The program contains a variety of techniques which are both scientifically
based and spiritually inspired." He commended the inspiring keynote
address by Dr Francisco Colaco and urged every participant to practise
the techniques taught in the program in their day to day life.
Rev. Fr Frederick Rodrigues, Principal of Fr Agnel College of Arts
and Commerce led the gathering in prayer and silence while Rev. Fr
Allan Noronha welcomed the gathering.
The 2 day program was very successful in the measure of the feedback
of the participants who felt rejuvenated with the breathing exercises,
Interactive music meditations (IMM), physical workouts, stimulated
with the various insights from medical science, enlightened with scriptural
truths and challenged with Wider Vision directives. The delegates
have requested for similar programs in their respective institutions
in the near future.
Rev. Fr. Walter Desa, Principal of Rosary College, Navelim was the
Chief Guest for the Valedictory Function.
Fr Allan Noronha has requested the Academy faculty to conduct programs
in Ranchi and Calcutta in the near future, which they have agreed.
